Job summary

Go North West Limited in Bolton is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to manage the flow of drivers and vehicles from the depot, ensuring safe, punctual, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of services.

You will oversee day-to-day service planning, monitor punctuality, and support frontline colleagues while maintaining strong communication with the management team. The role emphasizes change management, performance improvement, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating drivers and operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and coordinate people and activity to maximise performance.
• GDPR training or awareness will be provided to successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Forward planning on-the-day service requirements through to end-of-day and future days.
• Monitor and pro-actively manage service punctuality and availability.
• Support driver queries and oversee driver reporting.
• Ensure accurate capture and recording of drivers’ hours, duties, and attendance in the DAS GUI system.
• Maintain accurate records for all aspects of operational standards and performance.
• Deal with telephone queries and support the satisfactory resolution of customer queries.
• Ensure a comprehensive hand-over and coordination across shifts.
• Manage collection of cash from depots in line with procedures.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Work with depot teams to manage vehicle allocation, breakdowns, and changeovers.
