Job summary

DPD UK is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to bolster depot operations at Romsey. You will work closely with Owner Drivers and Employed Drivers to keep them engaged, well managed and motivated, ensuring outstanding service.

You will drive KPI targets for core routes, SPR, and ensure safe, timely loading and dispatch. Lead a high performing team in a fast paced, customer-focused environment with strong health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with demonstrable people management.
• Ability to motivate and lead a high performing team, ideally in transport.
• Strong communication, decision making and time management skills.
• Proven reporting and data analysis capabilities.
• Vigilance against unscrupulous activity and adherence to company values.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved.
• Set and optimize delivery & collection routes.
• Oversee driver loading and scanning for delivery in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain open communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Ensure ad-hoc collections are covered by drivers or couriers.
• Complete documentation in line with requirements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs: Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport, Health & Safety.
• Achieve depot clearance in line with targets.
