Think Hire Limited in Oldham is seeking a proven depot leader to run the national depot network, set standards, and drive performance. You will own safety, asset readiness, service delivery and continuous improvement across multiple depots, balancing cost with customer outcomes.

You will lead depot teams, manage budgets, schedule work, and partner with engineering and finance to optimise capacity, stock control and supplier performance.

Competenze

• Proven leadership experience in depot, branch, fleet, workshop or multi-site operations.
• Experience improving operational performance and standardising processes.
• Strong understanding of workshop, yard, stores, fleet readiness and maintenance controls.
• Practical knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality management in operations.
• Experience of budget ownership, workforce planning, supplier management and performance reporting.
• Comfortable using operational data to identify priorities and track improvement.

Mansioni

• Lead day-to-day operational performance across all depots, translating priorities into local plans and accountabilities.
• Establish a consistent depot operating model covering workshop, yard, stores, asset movements and safety.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality and equipment-hire requirements.
• Own depot budgets and cost control, including labour, overtime, contractors and consumables.
• Coordinate with teams to manage asset readiness, maintenance, turnover and handover quality.
• Develop depot leaders and teams with clear objectives and succession plans.
• Drive continuous improvement through data, layout changes and process standardisation.
• Support network development and rollout of new locations or operating models.
