Job summary
DPD UK is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to join the depot management team. You will oversee the smooth running of our operation, drive service excellence, and achieve objectives around cost, health & safety, security, productivity and transport.
You will recruit, develop and retain staff, manage P&L through planning and reporting, and implement new and innovative ways of working to optimise performance. A full UK driving licence is essential.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution industries.
- Ability to run a fast-paced operation and motivate high-performing teams.
- Experience monitoring performance and implementing data-driven improvements.
- Outstanding communication skills to influence strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth running of the depot operation and achieve service targets.
- Recruit, develop and retain staff while ensuring compliance and Employee Relations processes.
- Manage P&L through effective planning and reporting.
- Drive improvements and innovative ways of working to support the operation.
- Be ready to cover 5 shifts, including some weekend work.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
