Biffa Waste Services is seeking an Operations Manager for the Uckfield Depot to oversee recycling and waste collections and street cleansing operations. The role involves line management of supervisors, ensuring safe, reliable depot delivery and high customer service levels, with adherence to contract KPIs and health & safety rules.

You will work with the Senior Business Manager to meet targets, manage staff training, and maintain proper documentation and reporting.

Formación

• Experience in people and health & safety management, including disciplinaries and grievances.
• Proven track record of service delivery against defined KPIs.
• Experience with vehicle/operations management may be relevant.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safety policies and training records are maintained for all staff.
• Develop strong client and stakeholder relationships and attend client meetings.
• Meet financial targets including overtime, staffing, and revenue.
• Oversee staff training, inductions and role descriptions.
• Monitor operations against contract standards and address performance issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in waste collections and street cleansing operations.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Produce and maintain KPI reports and other information requests.
• Support the company in achieving business objectives.
