Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Fleet Operations & Compliance team is seeking a dedicated maintenance officer to support depot facilities at the Weighbridge Site Lodge. The role involves general maintenance, grounds work, cleaning and assisting with weighbridge duties, greeting visitors and contractors.

You will also maintain records, provide a professional reception, and help with deliveries and vehicle movements.

Qualifications

• Hold a Category B driving licence and willingness to drive council vehicles.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and City Council policy.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills; basic IT skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, grounds maintenance and cleaning across depot facilities.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation.
• Assist with site operations and provide a professional reception service.
• Collect, deliver and safely manoeuvre vehicles across depot sites.
• Receive, check and store deliveries.
• Undertake First Aid and Fire Warden responsibilities as required.
