Job summary

Gist is seeking a Depot Infrastructure Project Manager to lead IT infrastructure projects across a UK depot network, from design through to handover. You will coordinate internal teams, engineers, and vendors, and challenge designs to keep delivery on time and on budget.

The role blends technology, project delivery and operations, requiring hands-on technical knowledge and regular travel across the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

• Proven IT infrastructure project delivery in logistics/warehousing environments.
• Experience delivering infrastructure for new sites, fit outs, relocations, upgrades.
• Strong LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, cabling and communications room knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage depot infrastructure projects from design through to handover, controlling scope, budget, timelines and risk.
• Deliver new depot openings, upgrades, relocations and refresh programmes.
• Coordinate networking, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, cabling and communications room infrastructure.
• Lead delivery through internal teams, engineers, vendors and contractors with quality and cost targets.
• Review designs, proposals and resolve delivery issues.
• Ensure infrastructure meets security, resilience, performance and availability standards.
• Support warehouse tech deployments (handheld terminals, printers, end-user devices).
• Ensure integration with underlying network and wireless infra.
• Keep stakeholders informed and aligned throughout delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Management team to share standards and lessons learned.
• Ensure IT security, governance and Health & Safety compliance.
