Job summary

Air Liquide seeks an experienced Facility Manager for our Birmingham site to lead daily operations, maximise efficiency, and drive commercial success. You will champion a strong safety culture, manage local depot activities, and guide a team to meet revenue targets while ensuring top service levels.

The role requires proven leadership in a distribution environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in distribution planning and order scheduling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coach others in a management or supervisory role.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate daily branch, yard, store, and trade counter operations.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports to measure productivity and identify improvements.
• Manage local purchasing, inventory control, and stock counts.
• Act as a primary key holder responsible for branch security and cash management.
• Enforce Safety, Health, and Environment policies and transport compliance.
• Partner with Sales to sell gas and hardgoods to customers to meet revenue targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop branch personnel and drive employee engagement.
