Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is recruiting for a Depot Driver/Shunter to join our Rail Logistics team in Goole. You will safely control rail vehicle movements and support daily depot operations.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet business needs. Experience in rail operations and knowledge of Network Rail standards are preferred.

• Knowledge of Network Rail standards and activities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good computer literacy.

Depot Driver / Shunter - Rail Logistics

Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire

The Role

You will be responsible for the safe control and movement of traction and rolling stock, ensuring all activities are completed in line with operational procedures and safety standards.

• Safe control of rail vehicle movements
• Coupling and uncoupling vehicles, sets and units
• Operating as a competent Shunter
• Operating as a competent Shunt Vehicle Driver
• Supporting daily depot and logistics operations

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of rail operations within a depot, private facility, or rail yard environment
• Experience working as a Designated Person, Shunter, Driver, or similar rail operations role
• Knowledge of Network Rail standards and activities
• Excellent communication skills
• Good computer literacy skills

Desirable Experience

• Locomotive driving experience
• Shunting operations experience
• Experience working alongside Train Operating Companies (TOCs)
• Sentinel PTS card (advantageous but not essential)
