Phoenix Futures in Basildon is recruiting a Dependency and Recovery Worker to support clients with complex needs in partnership with Essex Probation. You will assist with assessments for ATR/DRR/MHRT and provide psychosocial support within probation settings.
You will liaise with prisons, upskill probation staff, and help people in recovery through relapse prevention and care planning, contributing to effective multi-agency care.

Partnering with Essex Probation, we are now seeking a Dependency and Recovery Worker in Basildon to join our passionate Futures Together team.
The Role
Other organisations may call this roleRecovery Worker or Substance Use, Alcohol Recovery Worker, Criminal Justice Worker or Recovery Practitioner. As a Dependency and Recovery Worker, you will provide psychosocial support people open to Essex Probationwho are facing complex and additional needs and want to access treatmentand support. You will liaise closely with Probation Practitioners to identify who would benefit from support and offer interventions within the Probation office in your quadrant. You will contribute to assessments forAlcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR), DrugRehabilitation Requirement (DRR) and Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHRT) in court, engaging with clientsthrough 1-1sandinterventionsto comply with theorder.

The Service Our Futures Together Service has approximately 30 staff based across South, North, Mid and West Essex, with Team Managers across each site and a Service Manager. This role is based primarily at Laindon Probation with nearby amenities and access by bus, car and train. Day to day, you will work alongside Essex Probation Practitioners and various teams within Phoenix Futures including Futures Together, Essex Alcohol Recovery Community and the Health and Justice Team. This is an exciting new role, secured through additional funding following successful contracts supporting adults within the criminal justice system with multiple and complex needs.
