Job summary

The Forward Trust in Ashford is seeking a Recovery Worker to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week). You will support adults 18+ with drug and/or alcohol-related issues, delivering person-centred care within an integrated healthcare team.

Your work includes assessments, care plans, 1:1 interventions and group sessions, plus helping clients access housing, benefits and healthcare. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload and support clients through their recovery journey.
  • Complete assessments, risk assessments and care plans.
  • Deliver structured 1:1 interventions and group sessions.
  • Provide harm reduction advice, guidance and practical support.
  • Help clients access housing, benefits, employment, training, healthcare and community services.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals, probation and partner agencies.
  • Review care plans and support positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and work towards service targets and KPIs.

Salary : A GBP 26,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Were looking for a Recovery Worker to join our team in Ashford, working full time, 35 hours per week. Are you passionate about supporting people to make positive and lasting changes in their lives? In this role, youll support adults aged 18+ experiencing drug and/or alcohol:related issues, working as part of an integrated healthcare team to provide person:centred support.

What youll be doing
  • Managing your own caseload and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey
  • Completing assessments, risk assessments and care plans
  • Delivering structured 1:1 interventions and group sessions
  • Providing harm reduction advice, guidance and practical support
  • Helping clients access housing, benefits, employment, training, healthcare and community services

  • Reviewing care plans and supporting positive outcomes
