THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT UNTIL 24TH OCTOBER 2026 DUE TO MATERNITY COVER
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Dental Deanery providing maternity cover in the role of Dental Education Support Officer.
This role provides a high level of administrative support and co-ordination supporting the training of dental professionals, including overseas Dentists and Dentists with Enhanced Skills.
You will have previous experience of working in a similar role, and possess excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. Also important are enthusiasm, self motivation and an excellent eye for detail.
Although this post has been advertised as a fixed term appointment, NHS staff will be offered the appointment as a secondment. If you wish to apply as a secondment opportunity, you must have your line manager's approval. This post may be extended or made permanent at the end of the fixed term/secondment period depending on available funding and business needs.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide a high level of administrative support and co-ordination supporting the education of dental professionals, including overseas Dentists and Dentists with Enhanced Skills (DES):
Provide comprehensive, efficient, and confidential administrative support for the education and training of dental professionals in Wales.
Be the first and main point of contact for all enquiries providing comprehensive and professional information and guidance to stakeholders in relation to the education and training of dental professionals in Wales.
Work autonomously and to deadlines, using own initiative.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
