Job summary

Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for three permanent part-time roles in the Specialised Dental Service. The positions involve reprocessing reusable dental equipment, decontamination of the dental environment, and some patient-facing reception duties across Wirral dental clinics.

Posts are based in Wallasey and Birkenhead, with flexible site movement. The roles include 15, 23.5, and 18 hour posts. Applicants should indicate the post they are applying for.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a medical or dental environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes.
• Knowledge of Dentally or other dental patient software.
• Experience in the reprocessing and sterilisation of dental and/or medical instruments, HTM01-05.
• Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Vaccinated (or willing to be vaccinated) against Hepatitis B.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean and sterilise reusable instruments in a dental clinic using automated equipment to nationally agreed standards.
• Operate a washer disinfector and autoclave.
• Record sterilised instruments and pack them for use.
• Daily maintenance of cleaning equipment and care environment.
• Book appointments using the Dentally system.
• Collect and record patient charges and file records.
