Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in East Grinstead is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join the award‑winning kitchen team. You will prepare and present dishes across service periods, upholding high standards in a 5 Red Star environment.

We offer 40 hours across 5 shifts per week with overtime, plus a range of staff benefits including hotel family discounts, spa discounts and dining offers. Opportunities to progress within a private group of distinguished hotels.

Qualifications

• Working 5 shifts per week across 40 hours with paid overtime.
• Ability to produce plated dishes to rosette standard during a trial shift.
• Experience in managing multi-menu requirements.
• Live locally or can relocate with own transport.

Responsibilities

• Produce food for all service periods in Restaurant, Brasserie, Fine dining, Bar food, Room Service and Afternoon tea.
• Receive, store and rotate all food and non-food items to the required standards.
• Assist with daily menu planning and section supervision as needed.
• Support Chef de Partie with preparation, cooking and service for menu items.
• Deputise for Chef de Partie in their absence and promote teamwork.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow HACCP procedures.
