Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in Crawley is seeking a Chef de Partie to produce food for all service periods in a rosette kitchen, including Restaurant, Brasserie, Fine Dining, Bar Food, Room Service and Afternoon Tea.

You will work 42.5 hours across 5 shifts with paid overtime, demonstrating rosette-level plating and assisting with daily/weekly orders and menu planning. Live locally or relocate to join a high‑quality kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to produce plated dishes to rosette standard.
• Able to manage multi-menu requirements across outlets.
• Live locally or relocate to the area with own transport.
• Working 5 shifts per week (42.5 hrs) with paid overtime.

Responsibilities

• Producing food for all service periods in Restaurant, Brasserie, Fine Dining, Bar Food, Room Service and Afternoon Tea.
• Preparation, production and service of food to standard required in timely manner.
• Assist with daily/weekly orders for food and kitchen supplies adhering to stock control procedures.
• Receive and store all relevant food and non-food items.
• Assist Head/Sous Chef with daily menu planning and composition as required.
• Support design of menu items for restaurant, afternoon tea, and banqueting menus.
• Deputise for Head Chef/Sous Chef in their absence and supervise kitchen operations.
• Promote teamwork and communication within and across departments.
• Carry out daily cleaning as directed; adhere to HACCP and health & safety.
