Job summary

Exclusive Hotels and Venues is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join The Pass at South Lodge, Horsham. You will contribute to a Michelin-starred dining theatre, supporting a talented brigade and preparing dishes to exacting standards.

Based in Horsham, you’ll work in a renowned country house hotel with access to staff benefits, training and opportunities for growth within the Exclusive Collection. The role offers full-time hours and a competitive hourly rate with service charge.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quality-focused kitchen environment as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Strong desire to develop culinary skills and progress in a Michelin-starred setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to the exceptional standards of The Pass.
• Support the Chef de Partie in the day-to-day running of your section.
• Ensure ingredients are prepared and organised for service with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across every dish.
• Learn and develop new techniques, skills and culinary knowledge within a Michelin-starred environment.
• Support food safety, hygiene and allergen compliance across all kitchen operations.
• Work collaboratively with the wider brigade to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.
