Job summary

Gees Restaurant & Bar in Oxford is recruiting a Demi Chef de Partie to join Gees Kitchen. You will learn to run a section during service, follow recipes and presentation standards, and manage prep with FIFO stock control. We offer full training and a busy, supportive environment in a Grade II listed Victoria conservatory.

Role involves a 45-hour week across Monday to Sunday with a potential OTE up to £16.15 per hour (£37,791 per annum). Part-time hours may be considered.

• Experience in similar restaurants is beneficial, training provided.

We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to join the Gees Kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will:

• Thrive on giving guests a memorable experience

Typical duties of this role are:

• Learning to run a section during service
• Following recipe and presentation specifications
• When in section, maintain prep levels appropriate to service
• Ensure all deliveries are put away as soon as they arrive and stock is rotated using the First In First Out method checking “Use by Dates”
• Attend and participate in all team meetings

Requirements for the Demi Chef de Partie position:

• Work under intense pressure
• Passionate about cooking seasonal ingredients
• Experience in similar restaurants is beneficial although full training will be provided

We offer a sensible shift pattern across a 45-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with 2 days off) with an OTE up to £16.15 per hour, £37,791.00 per annum.

Based on 45 hours per week, and including non-contractual tronc (service charge).

Part-time hours may also be considered.
