Job summary

Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre is recruiting a Demi Chef de Partie to join our busy 4-star kitchen in Manchester city centre. You will contribute to a high standards across restaurant, bar, room service and events, working closely with an experienced team.

You’ll prepare and cook dishes to brand standards, support senior chefs, and help maintain a clean, efficient workstation while minimising waste. The role offers development opportunities and a welcoming, team-focused environment.

We’re a busy 4-star hotel in the heart of Manchester, just minutes from Piccadilly Station, and we’re looking for a talented Demi Chef de Partie to support the delivery of exceptional food across our restaurant, bar, room service, events, and conference operations. What You’ll Do

Food Preparation & Service:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with company recipes and brand standards


• Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering smooth and efficient service


• Ensure all dishes are presented to a consistently high standard


• Assist across different kitchen sections as required, developing your skills and experience

Kitchen Organisation & Teamwork:

• Prepare ingredients and ensure your section is fully stocked and organised for service


• Maintain a clean, efficient, and well-organised workstation throughout your shift


• Support stock rotation and minimise food waste through effective preparation and storage


• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver an excellent guest experience

Standards, Hygiene & Safety:

• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness


• Follow all food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures


• Complete temperature checks and food safety records accurately


• Ensure full compliance with HACCP guidelines and company policies at all times

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen


• A genuine passion for fresh food and high-quality cooking


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure


• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
