Ashmere is seeking a Dementia Support Worker to join The Firs Care Home. The role focuses on compassionate personal care, mealtime support and safeguarding residents' wellbeing. You will work across shifts, 35 hours per week, within a friendly, supportive team.
No formal qualification is required initially—we can support you with training and DBS checks, and you’ll be welcomed into a structured induction with ongoing training and development.

We are looking for local people who are passionate about providing an outstanding level of care and going the extra mile for our residents. We are currently have a vacancy at our The Firs Care home working 35 hours a week over 5 shifts.
The dementia support worker role relies on a passion to learn; a passion to enable people with dementia to live well; hold excellent communication skills and the ability to accept a person for who they are.
You will be assisting residents with all aspects of their care including assisting with mealtimes and personal care. You will be responsible for administrating medication and liaising with outside professionals.
Your experience in dementia doesn’t necessarily need to be paid experience, you might have cared for a family member or friend. Don’t worry about needing any formal qualification, we can support you with this should you be successful in gaining a role with us.
