Ashmere Derbyshire Ltd in Derbyshire's elder care sector is seeking a dementia care assistant to support residents with daily tasks, meals and personal care, and to administer medications in liaison with outside professionals.
Local applicants with a passion for care are encouraged to apply. The role is 35 hours a week over five shifts, with an attendance bonus, full induction, DBS paid, uniform provided and ongoing training and development.

We are looking for local people who are passionate about providing an outstanding level of care and going the extra mile for our residents. We are currently have a vacancy at our The Firs Care home working 35 hours a week over 5 shifts.
The dementia support worker role relies on a passion to learn; a passion to enable people with dementia to live well; hold excellent communication skills and the ability to accept a person for who they are.
You will be assisting residents with all aspects of their care including assisting with mealtimes and personal care. You will be responsible for administrating medication and liaising with outside professionals.
Your experience in dementia doesn’t necessarily need to be paid experience, you might have cared for a family member or friend. Don’t worry about needing any formal qualification, we can support you with this should you be successful in gaining a role with us.
We will pay you an attendance bonus just for turning up to work!
Working for an established care provider like Ashmere, you start your journey with us by attending our monthly new starter company induction with all new joiners from all of our homes. We will kit you out with uniform, pay for your DBS check, and provide you with regular training.
