Job summary

SurreyJobs is seeking a Dementia Service Assistant (Casual) in Scotland to support a day centre for adults with mild to moderate dementia, enabling social, physical and mental activities.

You will assist the Dementia Services Manager, deliver person-centred activities, maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding, and build positive relationships with clients, carers and staff.

A caring, flexible team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Preferable experience in a similar role within dementia services or social care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to be creative and support a range of activities
• Good team player and ability to work on own initiative

Responsibilities

• Support the Dementia Services Manager in daily operations of the service
• Deliver person centred activities to enhance social, physical and mental wellbeing
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding practices
• Build effective relationships with team members, clients, and carers
