Job summary

Alzheimer Scotland is seeking a confident Community Connections Co-ordinator for the Dumfries and Galloway area to develop, deliver and evaluate activity and support groups for people living with dementia. The role includes drop-ins, therapeutic activities, carer support, Dementia Café style provision and brain health initiatives, delivered through a community hub with regional outreach locations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people living with dementia.
• Ability to plan and deliver group activities.
• Able to supervise volunteers and support volunteer teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate activity and support groups for people living with dementia.
• Deliver drop-in sessions, therapeutic group activities and carer support.
• Run Dementia Café style provision and brain health initiatives.
• Work via a community hub model with regular outreach locations.
• Support a small team of volunteers and provide guidance and supervision.
