Job summary

Lloyd's Register International is recruiting a Dementia Wellbeing Assistant for Guild House in Gloucester. This part-time role (30 hours per week) includes a weekend enhancement and a competitive pay rate.

You will support residents, especially those living with dementia, to engage in meaningful activities and maintain their independence. The role focuses on wellbeing, social engagement, and building relationships within a caring team.

Qualifications

Experience of working with older people.
Understanding of dementia and person-centred care.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to working hours.

Responsibilities

Planning and delivering a varied programme of one to one and group meaningful activities and events.
Supporting residents living with dementia through meaningful occupation and social engagement.
Organising reminiscence, music, crafts, exercise and community activities.
Encouraging independence, choice and participation.
Promote positive mental and emotional wellbeing.
Working collaboratively with care staff, families and volunteers.
Contributing to a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes.

Dementia Wellbeing Assistant – Guild House

£13.00 per hour plus weekend enhancement of £1.00 per hour

30 hours per week includes alternate weekend working.
