Job summary

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking a care worker to provide personal care and practical support in a registered care home. You will help residents with daily activities, promote dignity and independence, and contribute to a warm, homely atmosphere.

The role supports older people, those with dementia, and adults with learning or physical disabilities. Welsh language ability is desirable, and rigorous safeguarding and data protection practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Provide personal care and support to residents in a registered care home.
• Assist residents with daily living tasks with dignity and respect.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks and activities for residents.
• Support the welfare, safety and wellbeing of residents in a homely environment.
• Work in partnership with the care team and in the absence of the Senior/Registered Manager.
