You must have good communication skills, empathy, and be over 16 years old. The role is to support at a Dementia Cafe, helping individuals to feel comfortable and at ease.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication and listening skills are essential.
• Ability to meet new people and work in a team.
• Awareness of dementia or willingness to learn about it.
• Demonstrates empathy and compassion.
• Must be over the age of 16.

Responsibilities

• Support people affected by dementia in social activities.
• Encourage group engagement and socialisation.
• Help set up and tidy away at the end of the group.
• Ensure attendees feel comfortable and welcomed.
