Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a dedicated Registered Practitioner Psychologist to support the Older Adult Mental Health Service, focused on dementia care. You will lead psychological assessment, formulation and interventions for older adults, working with families and staff to embed psychological thinking across care settings.

Qualifications

• Registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience with older adults and dementia is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to apply psychological thinking to clinical care and service development.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for older people with dementia.
• Work with individuals, families and staff to keep psychology at the centre of care.
• Collaborate with colleagues across primary and secondary care to develop dementia pathways and research.
