Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a Principal Clinical Psychologist (Band 8b) for the Older Adult East area, based in Wrexham. The post leads specialist neuropsychological assessment, therapy and service development within MAS and OPMH CMHT, with strong leadership, supervision and strategic input.

The role offers professional links with academia, research opportunities, and a supportive multidisciplinary team environment across North Wales. Welsh language ability is desirable.

Qualifications

• DClinPsy Qualification (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Substantial post-qualification experience in the designated speciality.
• Training in supervision and leadership.
• Experience of research or publications is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical psychology input to MAS and OPMH CMHT.
• Undertake specialist neuropsychological assessment and formulation.
• Deliver tailored psychological therapies to Older Adults.
• Lead, supervise and train MDT staff; contribute to service strategy.
• Attend MDT and referral meetings and support governance.
