Job summary

Pulse Healthcare in Carmarthenshire is seeking an experienced Principal Practitioner Psychologist for a leadership role in Older Adult Mental Health. Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Practitioner Psychologist.
• Significant experience in psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention.
• Experience supervising and developing services.
• Experience working with older adults or transferable skills.
• Knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of high-quality psychological services across older adult mental health settings.
• Take responsibility for clinical, professional, and managerial governance for psychological practitioners.
• Lead on specialist psychological assessments, formulations, interventions, and evaluations.

You’ll work across community and inpatient teams, ensuring high-quality psychological care and supporting workforce development.
