Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for demand planning of all finished products.

Own all demand analysis within the business and the subsequent creation and delivery of the Demand review that will feed into the S&OP process.

Furthermore, the post holder will generate relevant departmental KPIs as required.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
  1. Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  2. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  3. Coordinate with Sales and Product Managers to refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  4. Lead regional forecast reviews with subsidiaries/General managers.
  5. Interact with Production Planning to communicate demand changes.
  6. Input forecast data into IFS ERP to enable master scheduling.
  7. Analyze sales vs. forecast on all products to provide input to the S&OP.
  8. Own the demand review aspect of the S&OP process.
  9. Provide information to support S&OP sign-off.
  10. Support the Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  11. Maintain accurate system data relevant to demand planning.
Qualifications

Standardisation/Improvement

  • Support ongoing projects such as IFS improvement initiatives impacting the supply chain.
  • Develop skills and usage of IFS ERP.
  • Support demand planning improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure documented procedures for all demand planning processes.
Communication

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must effectively communicate with employees at all levels.

  • Communicate forecast/demand changes clearly to ensure stakeholder understanding and sign-off.
  • Challenge opinions based on knowledge & experience, proposing alternatives when necessary.
  • Report on progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Share knowledge gained from experience, study, and training to colleagues.
  • Participate actively in discussions and meetings within the business.
