We currently have an opening for a Demand Performance Manager to join our Water Resources team in Exeter or Bristol. As Demand Performance Manager, you will support the delivery of demand reduction targets through reviewing benefits and optimizing strategies across the South West Water, Bristol Water, Bournemouth Water, and Isles of Scilly regions.

About the role:

The Demand Team creates and reviews strategies for demand reductions mandated by the Environment Act, including leakage and per capita consumption. The team sets targets approved by the Executive and provides technical leadership, strategy, and monitoring for demand management in the short, medium, and long term (up to 50 years). You will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and recommending adjustments to meet demand targets.

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading daily monitoring, analysis, and forecasting of demand activities
  • Implementing robust monitoring systems with the MDS team to track benefits and demand changes
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Assessing and recommending adaptations to current activities to meet demand targets, engaging stakeholders for approval and implementation
  • Reviewing performance of initiatives to inform future investments
  • Analyzing water consumption and demand trends, preparing reports, and presenting findings
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of activities and methodologies
  • Conducting audits to verify data integrity
  • Collaborating with internal teams on data needs and priorities
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and timely reporting
  • Providing guidance to staff involved in data activities
  • Participating in the Smart Metering and SDBI delivery teams to achieve project outcomes
  • Contributing to research, professional development, and knowledge-sharing
  • Developing budgets and resource plans for demand initiatives
What we are looking for:
  • A degree in Science, Environment, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in water resources management, hydrology, or related areas
  • Experience in water demand monitoring, analysis, and reporting
  • Project management experience, with ability to lead others
  • Knowledge of water management regulations and policies
  • Understanding of hydrological principles related to demand and consumption forecasting
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within timelines and budgets
Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 per year
