Job summary

Pall-Ex Dorset is recruiting a Transport Planner to join the team at our Christchurch depot. The role involves creating efficient, compliant daily delivery plans to maximise vehicle productivity for our multi-drop fleet.

You will report on daily PPV, drive operational efficiencies, liaise with Collections and Trunking Co-ordinators, and ensure service and ETA targets are met. A proactive, highly organised team player with Microsoft Office skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• Transport knowledge/experience required.
• Attention to detail essential.
• Local geographical knowledge advantageous.
• Proactive team player with good people skills.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Create efficient and compliant daily delivery plan to maximise the vehicle productivity of our Pall-Ex multi drop collection and delivery fleet.
• Report daily the PPV across the full delivery operation.
• Promote changes in operations to promote further efficiency or cost saving opportunities.
• Liaise with the Collections (Input Customers) and Trunking Co-ordinator to ensure that the delivery plan fully supports the customer collection plan each day.
• Ensure Service performance and ETA targets are achieved daily.
• Oversee morning operation and ensure the Transport team are all engaged with the daily plan.
