Job summary

MorePeople is assisting a well-established fresh produce business in the UK to recruit a Transport Planner who will coordinate daily customer deliveries and balance hauliers to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full.

This fast-paced role involves working with production, dispatch and customer service, using transport management systems and Excel, and driving continuous improvements during peak trading periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning, logistics or distribution.
• Experience managing multi-drop delivery operations.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem solving.
• Ability to identify issues early and take action.
• Good commercial awareness and focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience with transport management systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily customer deliveries.
• Manage multi-drop operations with hauliers and 3PL providers.
• Monitor deliveries and resolve issues before they affect customers.
• Collaborate with production, dispatch and customer service teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport processes and efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, hauliers and customers.
• Support high service levels during peak trading periods.
