Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Transport Planner to optimise routes and manage transport operations across multiple depots in the UK. You will coordinate up to 10 drivers and 8 vehicles, aiming for on-time delivery and high vehicle productivity.

The role emphasises safety, regulatory compliance and proactive problem solving. You'll work under the Regional Transport Manager, focusing on route efficiency, KPI delivery and driver briefings, while leveraging systems like Paragon and Excel to drive

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong organisational skills and stays calm under pressure.
• Experience coordinating resources and routes across multiple depots.
• Experience in transport planning with routing, compliance and O licence knowledge.
• Experience with transport planning tools and MS Office applications.
• Asset towards Transport Manager CPC is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead route efficiency reviews and optimise van/LGV schedules and 3PL use.
• Deliver operational performance to KPI targets (OTP, JPV, accidents, VOR).
• Reduce missed time-slots and late deliveries; resolve transport issues.
• Brief and de-brief drivers to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across routes and drivers.
