Job summary

Selco Builders Warehouse in Wimbledon is seeking a delivery operations leader to guide a high-performing team, including drivers and pickers, ensuring orders are delivered on time and to the required quality.

You will plan and manage outbound deliveries, load orders safely, monitor performance and costs, and coach staff to maintain high standards. The role operates 37.5 hours per week in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a high-performing delivery team, including HGV & Van Drivers and Pickers & Loaders.
• Planning and managing outbound deliveries to ensure orders are delivered on time, in full and to the right quality standards.
• Working alongside your team to pick and load customer orders safely and accurately.
• Managing delivery performance, including driver behaviours, compliance, damage and cost controls, to achieve agreed targets and KPIs.
• Ensuring effective delivery capacity and availability while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
• Driving excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to increase sales, profitability and customer loyalty.
• Coaching and supporting your team to build capability, take ownership and deliver consistently strong performance.
• Supporting the wider branch management team and taking responsibility for branch operations when acting as the most senior leader on duty.
• The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week.
