Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Children’s Home finding and Brokerage Officer to source placements for children in care. The role involves managing a caseload, liaising with teams, and ensuring placement quality to achieve good outcomes for children. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, organized, and has experience in brokerage and commissioning.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and innovative Children’s Home finding and Brokerage Officer to join our team which is responsible for the sourcing placements for children in care.
As a Home finding and Brokerage Officer you will hold a caseload of searches for homes and support for children and use existing contracts and knowledge of the market to source placements for children. This will include in house foster homes and also working with external providers. You will be working closely with operational teams, commissioners and other colleagues to ensure that children are in homes matched to their needs, close to Swindon and that providers delivering solutions that offer value for money and achieve good outcomes for children.
We will provide you with good quality supervision and training.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
