Job summary

IKEA Leeds is hiring Drivers Mates to support Drivers in on-time deliveries and provide excellent service. Successful applicants undergo two weeks of IKEA training and a week of shadowing before starting. The role is 39 hours per week with a rolling shift pattern and weekend work.

Applicants should be physically capable and prepared to lift items, with a focus on safety, quality service, and efficient deliveries to customers' homes.

Qualifications

• Motivated to deliver a great customer experience.
• Able to carry out physical tasks across the day.
• Good understanding of dynamic risk assessments and Health & Safety.
• Strong communication skills with customers in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Support the Driver to complete vehicle safety checks.
• Safely load and unload goods for up to three deliveries per day (loads up to 1.4 tonnes).
• Deliver goods to customers' homes and take them to a nominated room, with on-site risk assessments.
• Gather data from deliveries and share with office to improve future runs.
