Job summary

IKEA Leeds is hiring Driver's Mates to support drivers, help with loading and unloading, and ensure on-time deliveries to customers. You’ll perform vehicle safety checks, handle up to 1.4-tonne loads, and tailor a high level of service to each home delivery.

The role requires physical stamina, strong communication with customers, and a commitment to safety. Training and shadowing are provided as you join the team.

Qualifications

• Motivated to deliver a great customer experience.
• Able to perform physical tasks and heavy lifting.
• Understands risk assessments and safety practices.
• Strong communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driver to complete vehicle safety checks.
• Safely load and unload goods for up to three deliveries daily (loads up to 1.4 tonnes).
• Deliver goods to customers’ homes and place in nominated room.
• Share delivery data with the office to improve future routes.
