Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Deployment Manager to lead end-to-end logistics and installation programs across international venues. You will own from site readiness through to handover, coordinating crews, freight, and commissioning against contractual dates.

The role emphasizes rigorous planning, risk management, and client-facing delivery with a focus on cost efficiency and repeatable deployment processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own the deployment lifecycle for each installation, including site readiness, freight and customs, installation crew and schedule, commissioning and handover sign-off, and snag management through acceptance.
• Build a repeatable deployment playbook to improve installation speed and cost.
• Own mobilisation planning for international installations, including freight, customs and duties, local labour models, site readiness, and delivery risk registers.
• Maintain dependency and free-issue registers for each deployment.
• Coordinate engineering support, local labour, venue contractors, insurance evidence, and event logistics.
• Translate commercial agreement commitments into deliverable plans.
• Manage customer expectations throughout delivery.
• Run structured handovers into ongoing operations and support.
• Deliver installations to contractual dates with documented mobilisations.
• Complete venue handover and acceptance sign-off with no open safety or commissioning items.

Requirements

• Proven delivery project management of high-value instrumented hardware installed at customer sites as a fixed solution, such as sports technology, AV or staging, technical infrastructure, fit-out, or comparable electro-mechanical installs
• International logistics experience, including freight forwarding, customs and duties, and working with local labour or subcontractors
• Strong site awareness: access, inductions, RAMS, and working alongside venue operations
• Organised and calm under moving dates; comfortable being the single point of accountability
• Desirable: experience in elite sport, venues or events
• Desirable: experience of first-of-kind product deployments
• Early start preferred
