Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, is seeking a Delivery Planner in Brinsworth, United Kingdom to coordinate bulk driver schedules and vehicle resources for timely deliveries. You will be the primary contact for customer delivery requests and manage stock across thousands of customer storage vessels, ensuring service levels are met.

You will resolve delivery issues during shifts, liaise with drivers and customer contacts, and report issues to account managers and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of logistics planning logic and supply chain operations.
• Sound understanding of production and transport functions, commercial procedures, and product knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills with PC programs for data analysis and spreadsheet management.
• Knowledge of KPIs used to measure performance and drive improvement.
• Qualification in logistics or at least three years of relevant logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan the work of all bulk drivers and vehicles across the week.

What you will enjoy doing

• You will take responsibility for planning the work of all bulk drivers and vehicles operating continuously throughout the week
• You shall act as the first point of contact for all customer requests related to bulk product deliveries
• In this role you will manage bulk gas stocks across thousands of customer storage vessels, supporting critical continuous processes
• You are expected to resolve customer delivery-related issues promptly during your shift, maintaining strong operational links with drivers and customer contacts
• You will communicate effectively with staff at all levels within customer organizations, including senior management
• Furthermore, you will plan the utilization of vehicle and driver resources to deliver a service that meets or exceeds customer expectations
• Additionally, you will operate with a focus on minimizing logistics costs while maintaining high service standards
• Lastly, you will provide a proactive interface with the Market Sector Sales team, reporting customer service issues immediately to account managers and senior leadership
