Job summary

Totec in Brinsworth is seeking a Delivery Planner to orchestrate the smooth operation of bulk drivers and vehicles across the week. You will be the first point of contact for customer requests, managing bulk gas stocks and ensuring continuous processes.

You will collaborate with drivers and customer contacts, communicate across levels including senior management, and plan driver resources to meet or exceed customer expectations while controlling logistics costs.

Qualifications

• Qualification in logistics or at least 3 years of relevant logistics experience.
• Expert knowledge of logistics planning logic and supply chain operations.
• Understanding of production and transport functions, commercial procedures, and product knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with PC programs for data analysis and spreadsheet management.
• Solid grasp of KPIs used to measure business performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Integrity and teamwork in an inclusive workplace.

Salary: £50,973 pa + Shift allowance

Hours: 42 hours per week

The Role

The Delivery Planner will take responsibility for planning the smooth operation of all bulk drivers and vehicles operating continuously throughout the week. Being the first point of contact for all customer requests/queries, you will manage bulk gas stocks across thousands of customer storage vessels, supporting critical continuous processes.

Responsibilities

• You will resolve customer delivery-related issues promptly, maintaining strong operational links with drivers and customer contacts
• You will communicate effectively with staff at all levels within customer organizations, including senior management
• You will plan the utilization of vehicle and driver resources to deliver a service that meets or exceeds customer expectations
• You will operate with a focus on minimizing logistics costs while maintaining high service standards
• You will provide a proactive interface with the Market Sector Sales team, reporting customer service issues immediately to account managers and senior leadership

Knowledge and Experience required

• You will hold a qualification in logistics or have at least three years of relevant logistics experience
• You will need to demonstrate expert knowledge of logistics planning logic and supply chain operations to deliver efficient scheduling solutions
• You bring a sound understanding of production and transport functions, commercial procedures, and product knowledge relevant to the business
• You possess strong analytical skills, including proficiency with PC programs for data analysis and spreadsheet management
• You have a solid grasp of key performance indicators used to measure business performance and drive continuous improvement
