Vario is a market-leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management, and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.

As the Vario team grows, we are recruiting a Delivery Manager to support our MLS Delivery teams in ensuring that we deliver a world-class legal service to our practice groups and external clients. The role will support our engagement strategies with both sectors and groups, focusing on the pastoral care and development of our legal delivery teams and their capabilities. The successful candidate will:

1. Line manage a team of paralegals focused on the delivery of work to both lawyers and external clients, including day-to-day supervision, training, development, and management of direct reports.
2. Supervise the delivery of legal services to end users.
3. Provide service delivery management support on engagements as required, including resource planning, quality assurance, output/efficiency reviews, and progress reporting.
4. Continuously develop delivery models to ensure best-in-class service.
5. Develop effective working relationships across relevant practice groups and sectors.
6. Work with Resource Management to effectively manage work allocation, monitor/manage capacity, and workload levels.

Our standard working hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm; however, we are open to flexible working requests.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally possess the following skills and experience:

1. Experience working on property-related matters.
2. Experience in alternative legal services.
3. Proven experience managing a high-performing team of legal professionals.
4. Experience managing the delivery of legal services in a high-volume, multi-location environment.
5. Experience influencing stakeholders in a large commercial law firm to promote the benefits of utilizing alternative service delivery models.
6. Significant experience working with performance metrics to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
