Job description

1) PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To deliver and fit specialist community equipment and minor adaptations to Enfield residents' homes, demonstrating proper use and adjusting equipment according to the user's needs.

To carry out warehouse and stock management duties, including equipment recycling.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan daily scheduled work activities, identify timed visits, and organize delivery routes.
• Pick, test, check, load equipment, and secure it on the vehicle.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks and decontamination procedures are followed, keeping the vehicle in a safe and clean condition in line with ICES protocols.
• Handle and transport equipment and tools safely, reporting theft, loss, or damage to the line manager.
• Deliver and collect equipment daily, assess and fit equipment and adaptation products, and demonstrate their use according to protocols.
• Assess situations during visits to ensure client safety and the safe use of equipment and adaptations, taking action to minimize hazards, including removing unsafe equipment and referring to the prescriber if necessary.
• Record and report non-deliveries and advise on suitable alternatives.
