Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company is hiring a two-person delivery driver in the United Kingdom, part of the DFS Group brands DFS and Sofology. You’ll deliver furniture with a partner, install it in customers’ homes, and provide memorable service.

You’ll work a disciplined 4-on, 4-off schedule, earning £28,189 per year, with a potential annual bonus up to £2,000 and a £2,000 location supplement. Training is provided for those without experience.

Qualifications

• No experience? Full paid training provided.
• You hold a valid driving licence (max 6 points).
• Able to lift heavy furniture and navigate stairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate with the customer prior to delivery to confirm route and timing.
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the requested room and dispose of no rubbish.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values with customers and brand partners.
• Work with the team and managers to provide feedback and improve service standards.
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report defects.

• Great Pay: A competitive salary of £28,189 per annum (£13.72 per hour) plus an annual bonus of up to £2000 (paid quarterly) for delivering an amazing service.

You’ll work as part of a skilled 2‑person delivery team, completing 10–15 deliveries a day and installing furniture in customers’ homes. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role involving regular lifting of heavy items and navigating stairs and tight spaces. If you take pride in doing a job properly, you’ll thrive here.

What you'll be doing

• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you’re on your way to their address.
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that we do not leave them with any rubbish to dispose of.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
• Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.
• Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
• Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

• You’ve held a valid driver’s licence for 12 months with less than 6 points
• You’re great with people and enjoy helping customers.
• You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
