As a Delivery Engineer, your role will be to ensure that contractors deliver the required assets safely, on time, to Southern Water standards, and within budget, while also meeting regulatory and statutory requirements and maximizing benefits to Southern Water.
Working within a team, you will support other functions within Southern Water, maintaining all hired assets within the Wastewater function to minimize failure risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
We are ideally looking for an experienced Delivery Engineer with a background in managing contracts against time, cost, and quality, or project management, to join the Wastewater team on a full-time basis. Previous experience working with contractors and in Wastewater is preferred.
The role requires a clear understanding of team roles, cooperation with other teams to achieve business aims, and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders.
This position suits someone with previous experience dealing with contractors, the ability to multitask, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide solutions. You should be solutions-focused with excellent knowledge of maintaining assets within the Asset Maintenance function to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
You will work within a team to support other functions, maintaining projects in accordance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality standards, while ensuring contractors adhere to our expected standards and behaviors.

Please note - If selected for an interview, it will be conducted in two stages: an initial interview and a second stage involving a report based on a fact-finding exercise and recommendations.
