Job summary

Ocado Logistics in Weybridge is seeking a Delivery Driver who enjoys being on the move and talking to customers. You will deliver quality groceries on time and with a friendly smile, using pre-planned routes and van pre-loads. Shifts include evenings and weekends, with premiums that boost hourly earnings.

Full-time, 40-hour week, typical start times from early morning to midday. Training is provided; previous experience is not required.

You'll be out on the road whatever the weather, but you'll never have to fight over the radio station, and you can sing along as loud as you like! In return, we use our automated technology to pre-plan your route and pre-load your van!

Everyone likes their groceries at different times, so our working patterns will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays - so on top of your base pay you will receive premiums that will increase your average hourly earnings to £13.75 per hour. You can also stack your earnings further with enhanced overtime to fund those special occasions!

So what do we need from you?

You don't need any previous experience to join our good-natured team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and our amazing training team will do the rest! But you will need the following:

Driving Licence Requirements:

• Full UK or EU driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
• Some deliveries involve the handling of alcohol products, so you must be over 18 to apply

As this is a customer facing role, good communication skills are also essential.

Contract Details:

• Type: Permanent
• Contract: Your contracted workweek is 40 hours, scheduled as five 8-hour days within a seven-day period.
• Shifts: AM & PM. You may start as early as 05:30 and finish as late as 12:00 (midnight). Please check your commute time and transport options prior to applying.
• Pay Structure: The position is lunar paid, meaning you will be paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule.
• Hourly Pay Rates:
  • Monday to Saturday (Basic Rate): £13.28
  • Evening Premium (from 6pm): £1.12
  • Sunday Day Premium: £1.33
  • Sunday Evening Premium: £2.56
  • Overtime rate Monday to Saturday (Day Shift): £16.60
  • Overtime rate Monday to Saturday (Evening Shift): £18.00
