Job summary

Ocado Logistics is hiring customer-facing delivery team members to ensure goods arrive on time and in excellent condition. You will drive, interact with customers, and follow pre-planned routes using our routing technology. Training will be provided to help you succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts include evenings and weekends with paid breaks; overtime and premiums boost earnings. A supportive benefits package includes pension, health services, discounts, and career progression

Qualifications

• Full UK or EU driving licence.

You’ll be out on the road whatever the weather, but you’ll never have to fight over the radio station, and you can sing along as loud as you like!

In return, we use our automated technology to pre plan your route and pre-load your van!

Everyone likes their groceries at different times, so our working patterns will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays - so on top of your base pay you will receive premiums that will increase your average hourly earnings to £14.42 per hour. You can also stack your earnings further with enhanced overtime to fund those special occasions!

So what do we need from you?

You don’t need any previous experience to join our good-natured team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and our amazing training team will do the rest!

But you will need the following Driving Licence Requirements:

• Full UK or EU driving licence.
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.

Some deliveries involve the handling of alcohol products, so you must be over 18 to apply.

As this is a customer facing role, good communication skills are also essential.

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 37.5 or 40 hours (including paid breaks)

Contracted days: You will be required to work any 5 days out of 7 working 7.5 or 8 hour shifts, and will be provided with further information during pre-boarding.

Shifts: AM & PM. You may start as early as 05:30 in the morning, and can finish as late as 12:00 (midnight). Please check your commute time prior to applying. You will receive your shift rota up to 13 weeks in advance.

Pay Structure: The position is lunar paid. This means you will be paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule. Please take this into consideration when applying.
