Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Delivery Driver 3.5t (Part Time - 20 hours) in Kirkcaldy. You will deliver to customers, build relationships and act as a brand ambassador while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

This permanent role requires a Full UK Manual Driving Licence and previous 3.5t multidrop experience; occasional loading/unloading and warehouse duties may be required. Competitive benefits apply including pension and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
• Previous 3.5t multidrop driving is advantageous.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5 T van carrying out multi-drop deliveries to our customers in the local area.
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the brand.
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects.
• Loading and unloading deliveries where required.
• When you are not out on deliveries you will be assisting in the warehouse with duties including unloading incoming stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5 T van carrying out multi -drop deliveries to our customers in the local area - (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets)
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Loading and unloading deliveries where required
• When you are not out on deliveries you will be assisting in the warehouse with duties including unloading incoming stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying

This is a permanent part time position working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a start time of 07:30am. You will predominately be working mornings but need to be flexible to cover potential afternoon deliveries. On occasion overtime may also be available (but not guaranteed).
