Delegated Underwriting Assistant

Up to £42,000 per annum + benefits + 10% bonus

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Delegated Underwriting Assistant to join a prestigious London Market Insurer on a permanent basis.

This position is suitable for someone with 1-2 years of Underwriting or Broking experience, possibly in a second job.

You will assist the Delegated UW Manager in managing the administration of all business written under Delegated Authority contracts.

The role involves working within the DUA team and providing effective oversight of all delegated business.

Key responsibilities:

1. Assist the DUA Manager and Head of Delegated UW Operations in managing all areas of Delegated UW business.
2. Provide guidance and support to underwriting units regarding Delegated authority business, ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s standards.
3. Maintain approval and review processes for Coverholders & Delegated authority contracts.
4. Liaise with Lloyd’s Policyholder & Third-Party Oversight team as needed.

Required skills/experience:

1. At least 1 year of experience in Delegated UW business from a Lloyd’s, London Market, or Broking firm.
2. Experience using Lloyd’s systems – Atlas and DCOM.
3. Progressing with CII examinations.
