Job summary

Landmarc Solutions seeks a Training Area Operative to help maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for Armed Forces training. This on-site role in Ash Vale requires a can-do attitude and a willingness to work outdoors, with full training provided.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, operate plant and equipment, manage stock, and ensure safety protocols are followed across the Defence Training Estate.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Grounds and Landscape Maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.
• Good knowledge of COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and Health & Safety protocols.
• A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that the Defence Training Estate is kept in top condition.
• Carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training provided).
• Manufacturing and deploying targets.
• Equipment Testing.
• Driving and operating fleet vehicles.
• Use of Warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights.
• Ensure that the facilities adhere to strict safety protocols.
• Stock management.
• Completion of work orders and pre planned maintenance.
• Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems.
