Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the technical delivery of defence projects. You will mentor engineering teams, define strategies and ensure delivery to client requirements in a highly regulated environment.

You will collaborate with the Technical Director to win work, develop engineering proposals and maintain strong client relationships across multidisciplinary projects within the account. Extensive sector experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering delivery teams.
• Lead technical direction, solution development and delivery of engineering projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure engineers understand project requirements, technical methods and processes.
• Lead Change Control activities across projects.
• Own technical quality and ensure deliverables meet contractual and client requirements.
• Act as primary technical contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Report on technical status, progress, risks and performance of projects.
• Ensure compliance with technical, quality and regulatory standards (QMS).
• Ensure engineers are SQEP for activities.
• Support business growth with technical proposals and client presentations.
• Build strong customer relationships with the Technical Director to identify new business opportunities.
• Lead technical bids and tenders including scope, methodologies and estimates.
